Photography has always been a part of my life. I remember playing in the dark room as a child while my dad developed his film...the sulfury smell of the stop baths and the hum of the enlarger. Of course things are different now, and the tools my father used in the darkroom to make award winning images are now available on the computer. However, the ideals remain the same: create amazing images and help stop time.
My practice isn't about getting a perfect portrait with everyone looking straight at the camera in matching shirts, although I can happily help you out with a version of that. It's more about helping you stop time at the moments in your life that are the most precious: graduating high school, becoming engaged, getting married, pregnancy and the birth of your children. And it's also about finding those small moments where life is incredible; a baby's smile, a laugh, a tantrum.
Custom photography is different than a photo that you might have done at a big box studio. It means travelling to do on-site sessions in a place that is particularly important to your family or coming to your home after the birth of your baby. It means getting to know a little about your family in order to make your session about you.
